A United Kingdom robotics expert has made it her goal to ban the development of sex robots in the UK.
Dr. Kathleen Richardson who is a researcher at De Montfort University in Leicester thinks that’s the development of sex robots is a disturbing trend that needs to be stopped.
She believes sex robots have become a growing trend and priority for many robotics industry developers. Dr. Kathleen Richardson believes the roles that these robots will play and how they look is very disturbing and will contribute to detrimental relationships between men and women and gay and lesbian societies.
Dr. Richardson thinks that companies who build such dolls are striving for perfection to make their creations more realistic. By achieving this they underline the typical stereotypes of women and encourage relationships to be just physical experiences.
Dr. Kathleen Richardson is not on her own when it comes to her views to ban the development of sex robots in the UK. Dr Helen Driscoll said that because of the advances in technology robophilia will be normal in the next 50 years and Buy the year 2070 physical relationships will seem primitive. Dr Helen Driscoll states that as virtual reality becomes more realistic it may even improve on the experience of real life sex, and this may cause individuals to prefer this method of sexual activity than the real thing.
